OK, I didn't think I would do a blog - it really is the best way to communicate with everyone who is interested in our journey. So here goes.....

Left Tempe, AZ Thursday morning May 22,2014 driving to Minnesota.
Everything we own and we are homeless!
Had an uneventful trip - except maybe the pouring rain for 800 miles.
Arrived in St. Charles, MN late evening Saturday, 5/24/14 to the home of children, Paul and Nichole Paladie.
Slept like a baby in their new Temper Pedic bed.
Caught up with granddaughter, Ashley.
Next day spent afternoon with son Eric and his wife
and business partner, Rita. They gave us a tour of their new processing plant:

So impressed. The facility is so clean and nicely arranged - juices are exceptionally good. My favorite is the nut milks - yum!

Stopped to see friends in Hastings - Pat and Michael, but Pat was still in South Carolina so we visited with
Michael and then talked to Pat on the phone. Great visit!
Tuesday we went to Balsam Lake to visit cousin Jack and Karen. Had great time and who wouldn't with good food, wine and cards? They have a beautiful home and decorated with such care.
Forgot my camera again but Jack sent this picture for me.
Wednesday had dinner with 2 of my sisters at a favorite restaurant in St. Paul, Cosseta's.
Thursday stayed in St.Charles and helped (?) Nic prepare food for grandson's high school graduation.
We also were privileged to observe Anthony at a qualifying event for state in the 1600 meters. Go Anthony!
Friday took a trip to Alexandria, Minnesota to spend time with daughter, Elizabeth and granddaughter Claudia.
Had a great visit and even got to see Jake at work!
Back to St. Charles to prepare for Saturday graduation party for Anthony.
Nichole, Paul, Ashley and Anthony did a splendid job with food and party planning. House looked beautiful
and people praised the good food.
It was so fun seeing Nic's parents, Kathy Rulland, Bob Schultz and some of the Paladie family and sister Jean.
Went to dinner with a friend from my Resp. Therapy days - Jenise. Great catch-up evening. So good!

Sunday brunch with friends from St. Mary's, Afton.
Jim and Linda - had a very good time catching up.

Monday was lunch with Judy, Karen and Jan - also Joe (Karen's husband and Bob) in Hudson, WI. So fun to be with my good buddies from MN.
Again, no camera. Actually, I did remember to bring it but we talked on and on and I forgot to use it.
Very good going away dinner with Paul and Nic.
Sad to go but excited to begin our new adventure.
Plane left at 6:30 AM Tuesday for Miami - 5 hr. layover then off to Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Sorry we did not have time to visit everyone - perhaps next trip to MN - next year.
